What's New

MyRentals is out of beta, and this is version 1.0. The site now says the product is available to everyone — and nothing about your account, your data or your Free plan changes.

• ImprovedThe homepage, the sign-up buttons and the badge on this page no longer call MyRentals a beta. It is open to every landlord in the Philippines, with no waitlist and no invite code. Your plan, your properties and your history are exactly as you left them.
• AddedA new blog post, **MyRentals.ph is Now Available**, explains what leaving beta changes and what it does not — including that the Free plan has no trial clock and never asks for a card.
• ImprovedThe contact form used to ask whether you were interested in joining our beta. There is no beta to join now, so it asks whether you are interested in trying MyRentals.
• FixedThe homepage listed **Digital Lease Agreements** as Coming Soon. It has been available for a while — you can write a contract, email it to your tenant for signature, and see on their card when they have signed — so the homepage now says Available Now, in case the old label kept you from looking.
• ImprovedThis release is numbered **v1.0.0**, up from v0.3.2. A version starting with 0 is the usual way of saying "still finding its shape", and that stopped being true a while ago — MyRentals has been running real tenancies and real money for months. From here the first digit changes only when something asks you to relearn or redo something, so a jump from 1 to 2 is a signal worth reading, and everything in between is safe to ignore.
• ImprovedThe bar at the top of the site now has a **Contact Us** link where What's New used to be — if something on the site is unclear or wrong, we would rather you could tell us than read about it. What's New has not gone anywhere: every page on the site now ends with the same footer carrying it, next to the version you are running, so it is one scroll away wherever you are.

A tenant can no longer be charged for electricity or water used before they moved in, and the buttons on the Not Yet Invoiced reminders now work.

• FixedOn the Billing screen, the **Review Charge** and **Record as Expense** buttons in the reminder list did nothing when tapped — they pointed at the page you were already on. Review Charge now opens the charge so you can check the amount and mark it Ready, and Record as Expense opens the confirmation. The vacant-property reminder also now tells you what happens: the cost is added to Expenses as unpaid, and the charge leaves the list. Recording an expense was also unavailable on a vacant property's Draft charge, even though it should have been.
• FixedIf a unit was empty for a while before a new tenant arrived, the electricity and water used during that time could end up on that tenant's very first bill. Monthly billing now skips any charge used before the tenant moved in, and the reminder for it offers **Record as Expense** instead — because that cost was yours while the unit stood empty. No tenant had been charged this way; this stops it from happening.

Reading reminders now clear once you have entered the reading, and a charge is called a Draft everywhere instead of sometimes Pending.

• FixedA reminder to enter a meter reading would sometimes stay on your list even after you had entered it — and tapping it led to an error saying the reading already exists. The reminder now checks the same month you actually entered, so once a reading is in, the reminder goes away. It also names that month, for example "2026-08 reading not entered", so you can see at a glance which month it is asking for.
• ImprovedA charge you have just written down is called a **Draft** on every screen now. It used to be called Draft in the charges list but Pending in the billing steps, which made it look like two different things. The reminder list also says **Not Yet Invoiced** instead of Pending Billing, and a Draft charge now tells you to check it and tap Mark Ready — because monthly billing only picks up charges marked Ready.

Utilities and Bills are now one Billing section — enter charges, run monthly billing, and track invoices in a single place.

• AddedThe menu now has one item, Billing, with two tabs: Charges is where you write down utility bills and meter readings as they arrive during the month, and Invoices is where you run the monthly billing and follow who has paid. A counter on the Charges tab shows how many charges are waiting, and after you run billing you land on the invoice you just created — so you can see exactly how a charge you entered becomes part of a tenant's bill.
• ImprovedCreating a one-off bill — a repair, parking, or any other single charge — is now three short steps instead of five. Electricity, water and internet have exactly one home: the Charges tab. Before, there were two different ways to bill a utility and no way to tell which one to use.
• ImprovedThe old Utilities and Bills links still work — they simply take you to the right tab of the new Billing section, so old bookmarks and notification links don't break.

The Pricing and FAQ links in the menu now work from every page, not just the home page.

• FixedIf you were on What's New, Blog, About Us or Tutorials and tapped Pricing or FAQ in the menu, nothing happened — the page just sat there. Those links now take you back to the home page and land you straight on the section you asked for, with its heading in full view instead of tucked under the menu bar.

Clearer names for utility record statuses, so "Pending" no longer means two different things.

• ImprovedUtility records are now labeled Draft, Ready, and Invoiced. Before, a utility record and an unpaid bill were both called "Pending" even though they meant different things — now each word means exactly one thing.

Your tenants' invoices now show the meter readings behind each utility charge, and whether they used more or less than the month before.

• AddedEvery electricity, water or other metered charge on an invoice now shows the two readings behind it — last month's and this month's — and how much was used. Your tenant can check the charge against their own meter without having to ask you.
• AddedNext to the usage is a small arrow: down if they used less than the month before, up if they used more. It compares the same meter one month back. The first invoice for a meter has no arrow, because there is nothing yet to compare it to.
• ImprovedWhen one meter is shared — a boarding house where the electricity is split between beds — the invoice says so and shows that tenant's share, so nobody mistakes the whole building's reading for their own.
• ImprovedYou see the same readings and arrows yourself: in the monthly billing wizard before you generate anything, and in the bill breakdown afterwards.

The copyright year at the bottom of the site is right again, and keeps itself right from now on.

• FixedThe footer said 2024. It now shows the current year in Philippine time, and rolls over on its own each New Year instead of waiting for someone to notice.

You can now see what changed in MyRentals, and exactly which version you are running.

• AddedThis page. Every update to MyRentals is listed here, newest first, written in plain language — so you can tell what moved and why, without asking anyone.
• AddedThe card at the top shows the exact version running on your screen right now and when it went live. If you ever need to report a problem, that is the number to send us.
• AddedThe version also sits in the footer of the website, and What's New is now its own item in your dashboard menu, just under Settings — so you can open these notes without hunting for them.
• ImprovedThe website now knows when you are signed in. Its menu shows Dashboard where it used to show Log in, and the MyRentals logo in your dashboard takes you to the home page without signing you out — so you can look around and come straight back.
